Final Solidworks Design

After all the various parts where created, t was time to begin assembling everything together.

One issue I had with the assembly was the razor head attaching to the razor blade holder. The razor blade holder could only be mated concentrically, meaning the pivot point was not only pivoting, but was able to move side to side which was not what I was looking for.

As a result I had to position the razor blade holder and ‘fix’ the part into position, resulting in the part not being able to pivot in the assembly. However this I am confident that if manufactured, this would function correctly.

It was great seeing all the parts come together to form the final razor design and overall I am very happy with the design.

The aesthetics are very good, the ergonomics are also good and the user centred design is evident in that ergonomics and comfort have been at the forefront of the design process.
